Today I tought Art. I’m running a project Impressionism and some of my students are very dedicated. The only colors of paint they get are red, blue, yellow, white and black. If they want to use other colors, they have to mix them themselves.

The artist shows me with pride the progress of his painting and his technique.

Project 365, Day 6 Lily’of the Valley

When I was young, at Mother’s Day, my father used to take my brother and me out in the early morning, to gather Lily’s of the Valley. We placed them on a serving tray, next to the breakfast for my mother at Mother’s Day.
Yesterday, my son gathered Lily’s of the Valley for me. A small, delicate bouquet of lovely fragrant flowers is on my table. For Mother’s Day.
Some traditions will always be special.

On the fourth of may at eight o’clock in the evening we take two minutesĀ  of silence to remember and honour the victims of World War II.

Today we took a hike to the Waalsdorpervlakte, an important place of remembering. During the war there were over 250 man of the resistance shot by the Germans. Nobody knows exactly how much.

A large bell will sound till 8 o’clock. Then it falls silence and will sound again at 8.02.

At first we were not allowed because of the preparations, but some nice men told us we could go a little up the dune to take some pictures.
